So for those of you that have been living under a rock for the last few weeks, it is Melbourne Cup tomorrow.
I had $50 to bet so I decided to do the silly thing. Bet $5 on 10 crappy horses
.
Wish me luck!

I went to see the podiatrist today to see whats causing the pains when I run. I get to the appointment 10 minutes early and wait about 20 minutes to see the doctor (I got a call on Saturday to reschedule the booking to today).
The podiatrist got me to stand while he made notes. Nothing really technical about it. He then told me to come outside to the corridor where he proceeded to take a phone call from his fence contractor and made me march up and down that hallway for about 5 mins. Once he ended the call he told me I had flat feet and not suited to running. He said he could order orthotics which should cost about $500.
I am not too sure about the orthotics, no so much the money but if it would help me run pain free. My best mate Andy wears orthodontics so I will ask him when I see him online to see why he wears them. Apparently flat feet'ed people aren't made to run
.
The podiatrist recommended me to get "Brooks Addiction" or similar shoes. He put DRB, DRB Accell and Hydroflow as must haves in a show if im going to buy it. Not too sure what they are but he said the people at the show store should know. I will probably get a pair tomorrow.

After my visit to the podiatrist I was walking over to the local shopping center when i spot this short Asian lady taking a drag from her cigarette as if its the last one she would ever have.
A few minutes later after buying some milk and some drinks i spot the lady in front of me in the isle. She has blue and read eye liner streaked across her eye brow region ending with a swirl of color. She wore a fish net top over a red tee and a short skirt. She had a hunched back predominantly on her right side and she was talking to herself. If that wasn't enough, she was wearing leaped stripped house slippers.
I had to do everything to restrain myself from either laughing my head off or regurgitating my breakfast back up, I'm not sure which would have suited the situation more, maybe the latter. As an extra tidbit of info, there is another lady cashier her that wears a ridiculous amount of makeup also. Probably 10x the recommended daily dosage of chemicals on her face
.
Well I thought I would share that with you dear readers

So I had seen some reviews of Fall out 3 and it looked pretty good. Seeing as I had purchased a new gaming PC this would be a great time to put it through its paces.
I initially wanted to get the game from Kmart as my brother told me it was for $79.95 as apposed to the $99.95 at other stores. Obviously when I get there is none left.
So I wander over to EB. They had none on display but had some in the back. I asked the guy what was in the collectors edition. After a long while he still couldn't give me a answer. Then it stuck me I had a game card from Games Wizzard. I told the guy to hold the collectors edition for me and headed to GW (He was only holding it for 15 minutes for me).
When I got there I came to my senses and even though I am paying $20 more than I initially wanted to buy it at, I wasn't stupid enough to pay another $20 on top of that for a tin box. So I just bought the normal game. Just as the chick at the counter gave me the game her manager asked me am I over 15. A new low point in my life being asked if I was 15 when im 22 LOL
.
Anyways I head off to buy some mince for my parents then head to Office Works to get a new 1TB hard drive for my brother. Seeing as it was a special when I get there, there isn't any left. I just love the bait and switch tactics these stores use.
Just got the game install going, here are some pics. Enjoy!

So today I go to the open house recommended by a agent a few days ago.
For some background, I was checking out this unit near my place. This place was built 25 years ago and was on a main road. I inquired as to what other properties he had on his books. He goes on a little rant about how units these days are no match for the one he was showing me. Telling me how all these new units are built to a poor standard. He said he recently acquired a few units in a unit complex that was repossessed by the bank. He guaranteed me I was going to be impressed and buy it. I asked about the strata levy, he said somehow no one paid any strata fee in the 2 years and that it was yet to be set in concrete.
So I go to visit the place today it was pretty bad. There was cracks on the external wall and it was dirty practically every where. Who every lived in this unit complex were PIGS.
On the way out the agent said he will bet that he will hear from me in the next week or two. Sorry bud but you would have lost that bet
On to the next one I guess.

So I have been putting this off for a very long time. I am motivated for a few days but then give up. This time i hope its different.
In the next few days I will be getting a treadmill and a newer stationary bike. I will also be walking 10k steps a day to get me moving during the day.
I have also committed to drinking at least 1.5L of water a day. Currently I drink very little during the day.
Lets hope I keep it up

Tonight some how my mum convinced me to come with her to her church dinner. Bad idea
!!!
I was stuck in a corner with little kids while everyone was singing church songs lol. 20 mins into it when everyone was having their buffet dinner I left
.
Well anyways that was a let down, I came home had dinner and went to the local Wollies to get some bread. As I was coming back i had a look in Subway and saw the guy in the black shirt from yesterday (not Tim). From the looks of things it seems like some Aussie bloke has actually purchased the Subway franchiese from the Indian owners
.
How Ironic

So today I was planning to visit a podiatrist near my house to get the correct footwear for my feet. I generally have ankle pains after a while when I'm running. I'm putting it down largely because I'm currently a fat ass and that i don't have the correct shoes.
Anyways i rang them to see if i can see the doc today. Apparently there is a 8 day waiting list lol. Well I put my name down and seeing as i was all dressed up for the appointment i decided to get some lunch.
I had decided also on the way to get the subway to get a new pedometer. I walked into this Greek pharmacy. I asked for the brand of pedometer and the lady pharmacist got it for me. I looked at it, the brand was the same but the model is very out dated. I asked if they had any of the newer model or if they were getting it. Her reply "They all work the same". I didn't have the heart to tell her how wrong she was.
Back to the story so i rock up to my local subway. There is change in the air. Usually there are some lowly paid Indian employees in here. Today there was a fat white guy behind the counter with a laptop on the food serving counter. There was a fat lady in a flower dress wiping down tables and 2 other white guys in black shirts. I looked over and saw 1 of the white guys in the black shirt with a name tag showing "Tim xxxxxx Area Manager". I was intrigued as to the reason this guy was serving me.
I order 2 foot long roast chicken for my brother and I. He didn't ask me if i wanted toasted or not toasted, he just presumed i didn't want it toasted. Although that is what i wanted i thought to myself it was very presumptuous of him to do it without asking.
Then I get passed onto the second guy in black shirt. He asked what i wanted in terms of salad. I told him lettuce, tomato and cucumber. I looked down and there was no cucumber left. I was waiting for him to yell out to the lonesome Indian chick that was there. That call never came. He looked down saw no cucumber then palmed me off to the Indian chick to put on sauce. Now with the sauce I'm a freak of nature and order BBQ and mayonnaise on my roast chicken subs. There is usually a metal stand where the sauce containers are placed so it doesn't touch the bottom of the container. Today for the BBQ container that was in its correct place but for the mayo it was left at the bottom of the container. I looked and it seems there was a little pool of water at the bottom of it.
Here dear readers is something I am ashamed of. I know you will think less of me (if not already lol) but i didn't say anything. I should have spoke my mind but seeing as the place was busy I left it be. I let the slide in hygiene and lack of cucumber to only pay for it after.
I ate it got a stomach ache and had to do a number 2.
Fuck you Tim the Subway area manager man!

So there is no power this morning I go outside and this truck has taken out like 3 sets of power lines (ones that connect from 1 side of the street to the other).

Enjoy!

So for the last few months I have been looking for a house. I had signed a contract for a house in Mortdale but the sales fell through due to a very negative building inspection report.
Today I am visiting a unit just 20-30m from where i currently reside. I dont think i will purchase this particular unit but its good to to have a look. The asking price is $375k, which I think is very unrealistic for the vendor to achieve.
I will keep you all posted
