Anyone that has spent any time with me knows I'm a serial procrastinator. To give you an example, I have been meaning to buy a new phone since about 2002
.
I came across this picture today which funny enough rings true, enjoy!

A 2008 film based on the real life story of George Hogg. He was a amateur British journalist trying to cover the Japanese invasion of China in the 1930's.

After sneaking into China disguised as a Red Cross driver, George (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) finds himself witnessing atrocities by the invaliding Japs.
He is saved by Chen (Yun-Fat Chow) and meets Lee (Radha Mitchell) a Australian nurse helping the Chinese resistance movement.
There the plot takes a turn as he is sent to Huang Shi.
All in all, a good story with good character interaction (though the story of the main rebellious child Liu should have been explored more) and realistic 1930's depiction.

A 2008 movie about a American couple traveling from Beijing to Moscow via the Trans Siberian rail line.

The plot line for this movie is very thin at best. The main characters Roy (Woody Harrelson) and Emily (Kate Mara) get into a spot of trouble with the Russian "authorities" after discovering they have been traveling with some drug smugglers the day before.
I wont give away too much but lets just say that the writers did a very bad job. Seems like what they did was get 4-5 different plots from different movies then sticky tape them together hoping for a good script. There is no cohesiveness to the story line and no real feel of a thriller movie.
All in all, i would not recommend people watch the movie.

So on Sunday I had to run a errand at the local shopping center. Alas I did not look at the time and arrived 20 minutes before the store opened.
I tossed up weather to eat breakfast or just do a bit of window shopping. I decided in the end to have a look around Kmart to kill the time.
I didn't know what I wanted to look at but i found myself in the toys section surrounded by Lego. As a child growing up I didn't really get to play with them much but seeing as I have a fondness to build/invent things i was intrigued. To my surprises these Lego sets were not the normal kind, these were sophisticated/advanced Lego sets.
I juggled between a big yellow earth digger or this Xtream off roader. I ended up with the latter.
The box came with 3 instruction manuals and a crap load of Lego pieces.

I started the build and became very annoyed at the "bagging" of the Lego pieces and the color coating of those pieces. The pieces needed were in different bags even though they were the same color but just a little bigger.
There was no system in the bagging so in the end i said stuff it and just poured all the pieces into the box and did it that way.
Another issue was the colour system in the manuals. It might be me but the difference between white/grey are very minuscule you will need to stare at for a while it to make it out.
Here is the finished product.
I spent close to 10 hours building it. My thumb and index fingers on both hands are aching from pushing all the pieces together. In the end i tried all the functions and the only that was working was the lights, the retractable hook and the ability to lower and raise the car body didn't work. I looked around and found that i had stupidly put one small gear back to front which caused the gears connected to it to not spin, thus causing the "break" in the system.(The gear in question is the grey one left of the big red piece.)

I found out to my dismay that i was unable to change the gear around without dismantling the whole thing. That is exactly what i did.
As a side note for some reason i was left with some extra pieces. Not too sure why?
The lego saga continues........another day.

For a long while now I have been thinking about writing a blog. I have in the past attempted such a task but my lack of motivation always got the better of me.
I will endeavor to keep this blog updated with things that happen in my life and hope that you my readers (I know wishful thinking :P) enjoy it.
Cheers
